Picture: CLICK
Playby: Richie Stringini
Hair: Bleach blond, sometimes with black streaks; Longish, but not extremely long; Fringed to the right side so it hangs over his eye.
Eyes: Violet, almond shaped.
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 143 lbs
Dress Style: Generally jeans, of the super tight variety, with tee shirts, and a leather jacket. He’ll change it up every once in a while, but normally, it’s what’s described above.
General Appearance: Compared to some of the garish fashion of the Capitol, Ryder’s whole look is very...normal. Granted, he still dresses louder than those who come from the Districts, but he’s a lot less outlandish than some of the people in the Capitol. His body is still the shape he was born with: Tall and lanky. He hasn’t had any sort of aesthetic surgeries, so everything on his body is completely natural.
Except for his hair. That’s been so chemically fried, he’s amazed it still grows at all. Sometimes it’s peppered with black streaks, which makes it look longer than it really is, and because of the way it’s styled, appears shaved on the sides, but normally, it’s short and more all around, without the black streaks. No matter what length or color it is, it’s always styled to be fringed over his right eye.
Ryder has little muscle definition, and what little he has is from working away with a sewing needle. His fingers are rough and calloused, having been stabbed one too many times from a misaimed stitch.
How They Act
Personality: Ryder likes to shut up and keep his head down. He’s spent his entire life on his own, so being a loner isn’t anything new to him, in fact, it’s the only thing he knows. The less he has to deal with other people, the happier he is.
He does enjoy sketching, though. Fashion has always been a passion for Ryder, and ever since he saw the 74th Hunger Games, the one with the Mockingjay, he’s wanted to be a stylist. Most of his spare time is spent redesigning clothing for previous games, designs Ryder things would be most complimentary to the Tribute. Sometimes they’re outlandish and amazing, like the Girl on Fire, but sometimes they’re simple, like what the male Tribute from District 4 wore during the last, the 75th Hunger games.
Because of his low self-esteem and issues with negative self image, Ryder has never given any thought to love, thoroughly convinced that no one could love anyone like him. Even in the Capitol, filled to the brim with circus freaks, is full of people who wouldn’t ever love Ryder Castellan. And even if someone did, he’d push them away, not wanting to actually get close to anyone.
When it comes to the Rebel Games, Ryder is indifferent to being kidnapped as a tribute, not having heard of a Capitol kid becoming one, but he’s thought several times about joining the rebels to become a Stylist for the Games.

Past and Family
History: No one is quite sure where Ryder came from. Not even he knows. He just showed up one day, wandering the Capitol streets. Any memory he’s got before that day is fuzzy at best. Ryder can only tell you his name because it was written on a slip of paper pressed into his hand when he first showed up in the Capitol. Truth be told, he isn’t entirely sure if that is his name.
Also included on that piece of paper were a list of instructions. A place to live, where to get a job. And bank account information. Turns out, whoever gave Ryder the paper was filthy stinkin’ rich. Not only that, they had a house. Ryder figured whoever used to be Ryder Castellan had set all this stuff up for themselves in the Capitol.
He had a sneaking suspicion that the old Ryder was dead, and that the new one used to be someone else. Someone from a District. He couldn’t tell you if he ran away, if he was kicked out, or what, but he definitely did not start life off as Ryder Castellan. But hell, he had money, he could focus on his designs, and he had the means to tour the Districts. Ryder, even if he wasn’t Ryder, was totally okay with that.
