Dress Style: Katie keeps it simple, wearing basic tees and tanks with basic jeans, shorts, and khakis. She wears her favorite combat boots everywhere and never takes off her favorite bracelet.
General Appearance: Katherine is a quiet girl, strong and silent. The usual society lets her be who she is, so nobody tends to bother her or get in her way. When she feels the need, Katie can be stern, which may come off as a hard edge.. But behind the straight face, she is generous and whole-hearted, a total dreamer.
How They Act
Personality: Katie (as said above) is a generous and kind girl, but she knows when it's time to be serious. She is open and caring to those who she loves, but she is also serious and forceful for their own protection. She loves to read, when she finds enough money to get her hands on a book. She loves her brother more than anyone. She has an open mind and loves what she does (usually gathering). Sometimes, however, she dreams of being a fighter or a hunter.

Past and Family
History: Hunting and gathering: two complete opposites. Katherine loves gathering, honestly, but sometimes her mind wanders to an alternate life where she could live as a hunter instead. The thought of piercing an arrow into the air, straight to the powerless target, and bringing meaty food home to feed her brother makes Katherine feel at peace with the world mentally and physically.
Katherine's brother was in an accident at age 9 making his legs paralyzed, setting him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. The accident broke the family apart, mostly because of the cost of the wheelchair and medical bills. Katherine's mother left the family, but staying in the District was too hard, so she tried to leave. Leaving your District is forbidden, though, so she was put up for prosecution a month later, and died. All of this chaos made her father begin turning every berry they had into liquor and drank his sorrows away, leaving him physically unable to upkeep the family and home. Katherine's older brother had died in a Hunger Game when he was 17 and she was 12.
